Cavendish Hall

Early-nineteenth century Cavendish Hall sits in a small park on a gently sloping site in the rolling landscape of the River Stour valley side. Evidence suggests it was built on the site of an earlier house. After restoration by the Landmark Trust who lease the house from the Pamela Matthews Trust to use for booked group stays, this country house maintains many features associated with its Regency period. Much of its original parkland has been retained, with twentieth century garden planting simplified for ease of maintenance and to reflect its original more naturalistic style. The site includes an early-nineteenth century walled garden and entrance lodge, with another lodge added in the twentieth century.
Not open to the general public except for booked stays
